The NYC launch of SLIDELUCK is tonight, the event will serve as a fundraiser for Slideluck Potshow and its Slideluck Youth Initiative. Don't confuse Slideluck with Slideluck Potshow. Unlike the events past, Slideluck will be a collaboration with a chef, restaurant, supper club or farm. A carefully curated selection of 20 artists will be showcased instead of they typical 40 to create a more intimate and less hurried feel. Take your time to explore the work of the artist featured below. It's taken just about 10 years for this project to come to fruition so you don't want to miss this. Pioneering photographer Patrick McMullan, DJ Spooky (Paul D. Miller) and all the beautiful, arty people will be there.

Spanish Orgasm Video: Driving Voters to the Polls

The Socialist Catalonian Party in Spain is causing a stir with this "orgasm" commercial made to drive voters to the polls.  Watch the video below! 

The commercial depicts a woman having just voted turned on to the point of orgasm. It's causing a fuss from both the right & the left in Spain. Some say it's derogatory towards women. What do you think? Offensive, funny, empowering?

Frankly, I think this video is smart and a more empowering look at women as a driving force at the polls, along with making voting far more appealing... Creative concepts like this should be executed more in an effort to reach non-voters.

The big question to me is: Where are the senior citizen volunteers who usually work the polling stations?

The Foundation bears the name of my son Anders. I was privileged to share his all too brief life on this earth for 23 years. The last six of which I watched him undergo the often devastating effects of cancer treatments, including multiple surgeries, several rounds of radiation therapy and many chemotherapy drugs. Through it all I was humbled by his constant courage, grace and will. It has forever changed my life and many others.

We are committed to carrying on Anders positive, loving energy on this earth. By raising money and completing projects needed to help other adolescents and young adults, the actions of this Foundation can best create a lasting and fitting tribute to the memory of Anders.

Ellen Rodgers

Ellen Rodgers is a alternative photographer from the UK.

At only 26 she has already worked with top magazines such as i.d and Dazed & confused.


For those who are unaware of the term 'alternative photography' this is experimentation with various chemicals, film and print.


Rodgers spends days in her darkroom based in London, where she makes her own chemicals. She is also experimenting on moving film, which is in now in production.


Her work is very moody and cinematic, reminding us of the old Charlie Chaplin films from the silent film era . Her dreamy scenes and clear fascination with religion, scripture and acient history take her imagery to a whole new level.

Women's Work in Los Angeles 4/25

The lifestyle networking community Ladies Lotto and the innovative non-profit Slideluck Potshow and have partnered to create a unique multi-media event: Women’s Work, an evening devoted to celebrating the contemporary female experience. Artists from around the world will present images that explore the current state of women’s lives—from inspiring success stories to the profound adversities women face.

The afternoon begins with a curated lounge of emerging designers and other local women-owned businesses. Ladies Lotto will be providing DJ's and in true Slideluck Potshow fashion, it will be a delicious potluck dinner! There will be an open bar throughout the afternoon and the slideshow begins at 6:30 pm.
