Ladies Lotto With Claws Out!
This Tuesday's CLAWS OUT event was SO MUCH FUN! Ladies Lotto brought together Claw Money with Dirty Librarian Chains, Heirloom Originals and Portia + Manny for a holiday shopping extravaganza! Thanks to all who came out to support women owned businesses + schmooze.

Graffiti Battle Royal Estria
We have all known for graffiti to be a big part of the hip hop game. From New York, to Chi-town, Hawaii and Paris amongst the millions of other places filled with artists. One of the many known graffiti artists that Ladies Lotto has had the pleasure to work with this artist, Estria. This artist has had incredible year. With a total of 14 murals under is belt this past year, which that alone was astounding.
Estria also made sure to hit up a few graffiti battles as well.
And to wrap up his crazy year with a book release entitled "Mission Muralismo" which Estria is featured in.

UK Hip Hoppin'
'Home grown' is an amazing exhibition taking place in the uk at the famous Urbis Gallery. The show takes a look at the last three decades, almost like a back catolouge.It gives an insight of how hip hops infectious beats and rhythms...it's culture, has traveled all the way from the streets of the Bronx to the UK. The British have taken elements of it's original form and have created their own style.
The exhibition is a celebration of hip hop and it's British artists, it features the likes of Klashnekoff, Skinny man, Dizzy Rascal, and photographers Jake green, Michael Antonion, David Hawdon and many more.
You can also expect to see un seen video footage, photography, Graffiti art and original hip hop memorabilia.
This is the first Hip-Hop exhibition of it's kind, that documents the rise and impact of Hip-Hop in the Uk.
The exhibition runs until March 2010

DRAW Tonight in SF @ The Shooting Gallery

The highly-anticipated DRAW Exhibit rolls into San Francisco with tomorrow night’s Saturday night opening at The Shooting Gallery. What was billed as a traveling art exhibition of 300 drawings has now topped 400 artists for the SF installation.
The who's who of the contemporary and pop culture art world involved in the show is staggering to say the least. Robert Williams, Alex Grey, Clive Barker, HR Giger, Rick Griffin, Daniel Johnston, Gibby Haynes from Butthole Surfers, Shepard Fairey, Shawn Barber, Peter Beard, Richard Serra, Rita Ackermann, Mike Giant, Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Guy Aitchison, Kim Saighand Corey Miller of "LA Ink" fame are just a handful of the A-list icons who have delivered original works specifically for DRAW.
Curated by Erik Foss and Curse Mackey, DRAW is the largest exhibit of drawings to emerge out of New York and is currently on a six-country world tour.
Expect serious sensory stimulation and a sensational presentation on Saturday night, April 11th, 2009, at The Shooting Gallery.

10-year-old Graffiti Artist
Age 7, Solvieg likes to watch graffiti artists at work in her hometown Brighton UK. Age 8, she asks her dad for some spray cans and produces totally unadulterated, happy artwork. Age 9, she gets noticed by Graphotism Magazine. On her flickr profile she says, "Watch out for me. I am 10. I am female." Should I send her a Ladies Lotto application?
Solvieg tattooed this guy's leg when she was 10. (Admittedly, at 10 I was pretty unaccomplished.)
"I wanted to paint an elephant character so i did." (A rule to live by?)

The Heart and Soul of Female Urban Art
Friday October 17th, 8-10PM YOUNITY PRESENTS: HEART & SOUL, AN ART EXHIBITION & BOOK LAUNCH Second Annual Exhibit Features 60 Avant-Garde Urban Contemporary Female Artists Queens, The
Heart & Soul opening and release party is being held October 17th, 2008 at Alphabeta in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. As a celebratory theme between 60 international women artists and what they identify as "heart and soul," the exhibit promises an urban landscape installation piece that unifies and pushes the boundaries of graffiti, photography, urban contemporary art and fine art. It is the first publication in the YOUNITY collector's book series that will showcase the work of current members of YOUNITY. Available at this event is premiere copies of the YOUNITYHeart & Soul.
Overall, only 120 books in this special series will be available.
