Fun While It Lasted

Today, International Playground presents Fun While It Lasted, a mashup of a pop up shop. The shop will do quadruple duty as a retail shop, event space, showroom and gallery. Fun While It Lasted combines the benefits of the retail and wholesale experience; shoppers get a chance to see what's next and retailers can get a glimpse of what their potential customers will covet next season. While the shop is located in New York City, designers from Sweden, Denmark and Hungary are represented.

There is an after hours party ENGEL is hosting, it is free before 10 30 and is at the infamous Dinner House M:

This Thursday, BIG IN JAPAN features guest DJ's Pony vs Tiger, along with residents DJ Short Shorts and Adult Situations spinning a glorious selection of soul, funk, garage, glam, punk, international, old hip-hop and everything else in between!

Dinner House M has plenty of free parking and comfortable chairs and couches, like any 70's Japanese speakeasy hidden in Echo Park should. It's located at 1263 W. Temple (at Edgeware)...look for the big white door and the MIA sign. 

There's NO COVER before 10:30 p.m. with the password "arigato." Six bucks after.
