Volunteer Where the He(art) Is: The Art of Elysium

The Art of Elysium is a unique volunteer program geared towards getting working artists including actors, singers, painters, musicians, fashion designers and the like involved in helping children with serious medical conditions. Through working with volunteers via The Art of Elysium, these severely ill children are given the opportunity to just be kids -- instead of patients.

This week, join Sony Music's Marisa Pizarro for a volunteer information session at Norwood. In the past a few people you may know personally -- Roxy Cottontail taught girls how to DJ -- have lent their talents to this amazing program.

Where Fashion Meets Fabulous: Harriet's Alter Ego

Beyond offering the worldly woman wildly fashionable clothing and accessories you'd-sell-your-soul-for, Harriet’s Alter Ego can pamper her body with natural body care products, enlighten her mind with art featured in their gallery, ease her spirit through yoga classes and reprieves in the boutiques garden as well as dress the men in her life.

For owners Hekima Hapa and Ngozi Odita, Harriet’s is the idea that fashion should be functional. For their faithful following, however, Harriet’s is a way of life. And although each year their line and boutique concept continually evolves, Harriet’s approach has remained unconventionally classic. A testament to time well spent and design well done.

Harriet’s Alter Ego, truly a lifestyle brand where fashion imitates life.

Harriet's supports clean water in Africa, and you should too! Click here!

A (Much Needed) Peace Treaty

Friends Farah Malik and Dana Arbib created A Peace Treaty using the juxtaposition of their differing backgrounds (Malik is a Pakistani Muslim and Arbib a Libyan Jew) and their shared interest in high-fashion and ancient craftsmanship. It is an evolving collection aimed at creating beautiful, ethically produced, artisan-level accessories and apparel.

We are so excited to have this exquisite stole shown above at our Charity Water Auction! It has red, green, clementine, purple, and blue stripes with silver tila yarn detail. It measures 80x42" and is hand-loomed in 100% cotton.

Chicks Rule!

Todd Goldman is an American entrepreneur and artist. He is the founder of David and Goliath, merchandise company, which produces clothing, posters and other merchandise featuring a variety of slogans. His presence is known globally and paintings are highly coveted.

His paintings and lithographs are shown in many galleries around the globe and he has at least 10 art shows a year. Todd has upcoming art shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, London and Japan.

We are so happy to have Todd (and his lovely art) involved with our Charity Water Benefit Auction this year!!
