YSL Multicolor Plexi Stars

In anticipation of YSL's new manifesto being distributed in select locations throughout the last and upcoming weeks across the globe (we're hoping LL's Tara St. James gets her hands on one while in Hong Kong this month), below is a hot little accessory for your viewing pleasure.

The plexi stars come in another style of necklace as well as earrings. Gladly taking gifts of this nature anytime.

YSL's Manifesto S/S 08

"Just as Saint Laurent himself created haute couture inspired the 1968 French student riots, YSL creative director Stefano Pilati seems determined to unleash some anarchic chic of his own. Accordingly, YSL have produced their second Manifesto, featuring Kate Moss and the equally lovely YSL Spring 2008 collection. The above video is just a teaser - the full video documenting the making of the new Spring Manifesto will be available on February 25 exclusively on ysl.com.

Of course, YSL being YSL, Stefano Pilati couldn’t just stop there. To get his message direct to the people, a phalanx of suited and platform-booted mavens will distribute copies of the 24-page, full-colour (and fully recycled, naturellement) Manifesto direct to the public in key locations in the world’s major cities – Political Fashion indeed! YSL’s mission to make our streets that little bit chicer starts with London and Milan on February 23, Tokyo on the 24th, Paris and New York on the 27th and finally Hong Kong on April 19. To coincide with this street distribution, a touring installation of life-sized versions of the iconic Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin images featured in the Manifesto and print campaign will be shown around the world. The first stop is London’s Dray Walk gallery at the Old Truman Brewery, where the images will be on display on February 23 and 24.

If last season’s Manifesto is anything to go by, be prepared for YSL world domination! "

YSL forgoes a traditional runway show

We love the fact that YSL decided to forgo a traditional runway show and used digital media to showcase the Fall 2008 Men's Collection.
