About the design:
The goal was to provide inspiration for young urban professionals with busy lives, by creating an uncluttered, organized space that could comfortably accommodate entertaining and living life. From the bedroom and dining room to exercise room and rooftop terrace, Inson played with size, shape, style and light to completely transform this dream apartment into a place where couples will genuinely feel at home. Inson chose items from IKEA's array of eco-friendly products -everything from low maintenance, sleekly designed furniture, to lamps made of recycled plastics and decorative wall hangings made from all-natural materials. Inson's color concept captures the energetic vibe of newlywed couples. He kept the overall palette in grays, blues and whites, adding drama and warmth with red accents. The use of abstract oil paintings by young local artists compliments the neutral palette, providing both texture and depth to the showhome.

sheetseat

Ikea has been ahead of the sustainability game with flat packing their furniture to save their customers' money (and space). But this new design by Efecem Kutuk puts even the Swedish masters to shame. Sheetseat is a folding chair cut from a single sheet of plywood with a thickness of 3/4" when collapsed. This simple innovation in flat-pack seating allows for storage and transportation in even the tightest of spaces.

It's How You Live

For fifty years the Natuzzi Group has raised the bar in the world of luxury furniture design. To celebrate a milestone in their history of quality, art and innovation, they've collaborated with Metropolitan Home, Bloomingdale's and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to create several spaces with "total living concepts". Furniture from Natuzzi's collection will be paired with carefully selected pieces from SCAD students, alumni and faculty.

Experience these total living concepts and meet the artists at the art and design event at Bloomingdale's. All art will be on sale through March 1. The Natuzzi collection will be on permanent display at Bloomingdale's flagship location.
