The Laundromat Project is a community-based arts organization that invites artists to create public projects in laundromats in Brooklyn and Harlem through its Create Change program. Participants in the program create socially relevant installations in laundromats that help build relationships between the art; artists and residents of the community.Click here to find out more about the 2009 Create Change Public Artist Residency Program and to download an application.

Ladies Lotto has created an online community of our very own! As an extension to our list serve, we will be using this full featured, in-depth site in order to facilitate greater support, tools, education and more relevant cultural projects.
Thing is, you can only join with an invite. To request an invite, please email membership@ladieslotto.com or go directly to the membership application at http://tinyurl.com/joinladieslotto. We have to keep this community quality, so the application is required.
See you online!

Ever wonder what to do with those Marc Jacob shoes you've never worn or maybe the turntables you no longer use?
Enter Commuto. The site is a social bartering site where people can create communities where they see what their friends own and are able to trade with them face-to-face. It’s basically meant for anyone who is part of a social community and allows everyone in that community to know what the others have and want. Others started using it and it works wonderfully.
Its just got launched the other day so it’s in beta, but it works very well. Not only that but the brains behind Commuto are big fans of Ladies Lotto, so go check it out!
