A couple of inspiring and powerful ladies based in San Francisco is the foundation of a women’s collective called Mama's International Secret Society, also called M.I.S.S. The goal of M.I.S.S is to bring together and provide a voice for talented and creative women. The majority of the gang is based in SF and is professional within fashion, art, design and media. This powerful network is meant to be a resourceful tool to empower and inspire women. It’s a forum for the women's perspective on all things street: fashion, art, music, travel...
Besides the golden networking opportunity M.I.S.S provides, an essential element for the crew is their online lifestyle magazine. The magazine features interviews, articles, photographs and other interesting subjects related to the group.
Founder of this M.I.S.S are Liz Baca and Gabriella Davi- Khorasanee. Together they sought for a network that highlighted products, events and women issues. They also needed a platform where creative women could meet and exchange experiences and skills. Liz Baca has many years of experience within the fashion industry. Currently she works as a stylist and vintage supplier to some of the hottest store in the country. Gabriella, her partner in crime, is the founder of Mama, a contemporary street wear brand for ladies. The brand has a lot of attitude but carries plenty of happiness too. By collaborating with brands such as Adidas, New Era and Juicy Cosmetics. Mama’s clothing shows that the brand is not only a fashion label, it an innovative company within the field of art, fashion and culture.
