2011 Reykjavik Fashion Festival Designers Announced

 

Representing Iceland’s brightest emerging talent, the Reykjavik Fashion Festival announced  on January 5, 2011, that designers Andersen & Lauth, Áróra, Birna, Disdis, E label, Eygló, Forynja, HANNA Felting, Hildur Yeoman, Kalda, Kormakur & Skjöldur, Kron, Mundi, Nikita Selekzion, Rain Dear, Royal Extreme, Rey, Sruli Recht, Shadow Creatures, Sonja Bent, Spakmannsspjarir and Yr are confirmed to show Fall 2011 collections at the second annual Reykjavik Fashion Festival, hosted at the Reykjavik Art Museum, in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, March 31-April 3rd, 2011.

Established in 2009, the Reykjavik Fashion Festival was founded to channel Iceland’s creative energy into an explosive mixture of music and fashion design. Now in its second season, the Reykjavik Fashion Festival will implement technical and organizational enhancements, adding new capabilities for lighting, staging and design, as well as several new staff and team additions, to ensure coordinated efforts and to further accommodate designers, attending media, buyers and guests.
