The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) is hosting a benefit at Socialista on Wednesday, September 17th, to honor all individuals who are battling blood cancers.
The funds raised will directly support cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Every ten minutes, someone dies of a blood cancer. Leukemia is the number 1 disease killer of children.
