GEMS @ RUSH arts gallery

We got this from LLNY's Catherine Nguyen:

Opening exhibition: January 24th, 6-8 pm
RUSH arts gallery
526 West 26th Street, Suite 311
New York, NY 10001

Photos taken by disposable cameras over the course of 9 months by girls ages 12-20, who have been victims of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, will be on display at RUSH arts gallery in Chelsea.

We've worked long and hard to find these amazingly talented ladies a space to show their work, and would hate for you to miss this special evening! attached is a flier with all the necessary info. If you don't live here in new york city, but know people who do, please feel free to forward the invite!

Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to empower young women, ages 12-21 years, who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and violence to exit unsafe and abusive lifestyles and to develop their full potential.
