Before there was Project Runway, New York fashion gurus House of Diehl created their own brand of star-making fashion as live entertainment—using the audience as models and recycled-anything as material. Inspired by MC battling and haute couture, Style Wars presents 8 contestants in each city who will cut, tape, burn and drape to create new fashion items from vintage garments and unexpected materials, while their fans in the audience shoot, model, and cheer them on. Their renowned Instant Couture™ shows have taken place around the world for thousands of people. It’s WWD meets the WWF, Project Runway meets 8-Mile, Duchamp meets Dior, Banksy meets Balenciaga…
