Parisian ladies have had one up on us when it came to the lovely and amazing Isabel Marant label. Sold only in niche boutiques (and gone before a girl can blink) hip honey's everywhere coveted the punky-but-sweet pieces, not to mention the boots that spawned year-long waiting lists and a million knock-offs (chunky, slouchy, straps, and grommets ring a bell?). Marant flatly refused to have the label sold online, and her only outposts were in France.
Well that all changed last month when Marant opened the doors to her first US location in New York City. Nestled in SoHo on Broome street, the chic spot is a guaranteed success. Somehow, we think that having line be slightly more accessible will only add to Isabel Marant-fever, stateside.
