Anger in New York

P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center presents Kenneth Anger, the first major survey of the filmmaker’s body of work in the U.S. in over 10 years. Anger has been creating films since 1947, and is now internationally considered a pioneering and influential force in avant-garde cinema. This exhibition features primarily Anger’s early iconic works including Fireworks (1947), Eaux D’Artifice (1953), Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome (1954 - 66), Scorpio Rising (1963), Invocation of my Demon Brother (1969) and Lucifer Rising (1970 – 81).

On view February 22, 2009 - September 14, 2009

Other exhibitions opening on February 22 at the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center include Lutz Bacher: My Secret Life and Jonathan Horowitz: And/Or.
