Female Film Fest

Don't miss the opportunity this weekend and get inspired by forward thinking and creative females, all active in the film industry. Discover and reflect about political, social, cultural subjects, presented through the eye of 22 independent female filmmakers.

The fifth annual celebration of creative women in the independent movie industry takes place October 3 - 4 in NYC.
The mission of this female film fest is to bring together contemporary shorts by 22 artists consisting of emerging and established women filmmakers/video artists, animators and multimedia producers whose work will illustrate broad social commentaries on the status of family dynamics and aging, the hidden worlds of homelessness in NYC, mental illness in America's prisons and mobile technology and it's profound impact on intimacy, relationships and communications in our daily lives. All genres, themes and topics are considered and included with special emphasis given to works that expand the boundaries of creative expression through cinema and photography. Incorporating digital media tools help filmmakers to explore and create within a wider range.
