Get together this fall Sunday to help raise awareness for farm animals to help make our farms and the animals vital conditions much better. Thousands across North America will join in Walk for Farm to help raise funds for and awareness about Farm Sanctuary's vital rescue, education and advocacy efforts for farm animals. Farm Sanctuary is the nation's leading farm animal protection organization. Since incorporating in 1986, Farm Sanctuary has worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the "food animal" industry through research and investigations, legal and institutional reforms, public awareness projects, youth education, and direct rescue and refuge efforts. This special event will feature live music, delicious vegan food provided by The Groovy Baker, and guest speakers including New York State Senator Liz Krueger.
There will also be a raffle for fabulous prizes including a stay at the Farm Sanctuary B&B, gift certificates to New York City's favorite vegan restaurants, and a subscription to VegNews Magazine! Walks occur throughout the U.S. and Canada every fall - on or around October 2 - in honor of World Farm Animals Day
