I like fashion that doesn't follow trends. I believe you should you wear what you feel like, not what is hot or not this season. Luckily a British clothing brand named You Must Create (YMC) feel the same way. Inspired by a quote from Raymond Loewy, the pioneer of American Industrial Design, "you must create your own design style", YMC designers Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins are creating distinctive clothing, not influenced by seasonal trends.
YMC can be found at the independent designer shop Jumelle, located at Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Jumelle, is the perfect location for fashionistas searching for new finds and get inspired from independent designers from US and overseas. Their selection offers classic, bohemian, modern and creative styles. Owner Candace Waldron is a one time a journalist at PBS, ABC News, NBC News and CNN. Characters such as curiosity and determination didn’t just help this woman to become a successful journalist, now she is continually searching for emerging and inspiring designers to be represented at Jumelle.
