Nanette Fabray - Women's History Month

Nanette Fabray was a mother, homemaker, humanitarian, comedian, singer, and dancer! She is most famous for being handicapped for almost her whole life until four operations to restore her hearing.

Nanette worked hard to bring sign language and captioning to television. She worked very hard in efforts to the disabled, and even spoke to the congress about her concerns.

She is widely honored by many because of her humanitarian efforts. Because of Nanette, those who are handicapped are able to enjoy the media and other forms of entertainment.

Thanks, Nanette for making such a great difference in the world and for fighting for equality!!
