Mary Anderson - Women's History Month

We have windshields to protect us from the weather and from random objects that happen to fly into our paths while driving, but what genius thought of the windshield wiper?

Today, Ladies Lotto would like to give thanks to Mary Anderson for creating the windshield wiper in 1905!

In 1903, Mary was granted with permission to build a wiper that would protect drivers from the rain, snow, or sleet. Her goal was to improve a driver’s vision. This idea came to Mary when she was in New York City, where drivers would have to put their heads outside the windows to see where they were going!

Isn’t that crazy?! Just imagine doing that right now while driving.

Thanks, Mary Anderson for saving our necks from a huge strain!
