NY: I've almost forgot about Bliss Café – a teensy, but delicious and hipster-y brunch spot in Williamsburg. Hit it. 191 Bedford Ave Brooklyn, NY 11211 (718) 599-2547

NY: The name is decidedly uncool – but the site is actually pretty informative www.newyorkcool.com.

My boo sent me this in an IM the other day, " look at this site, you can search for any song and listen to the full thing, its amazing - http://www.seeqpod.com."

Might sound cheesy to you – but our boy (and bf's hubby) Brooks Buford has requested that you all text z100 55100 "audioclub hot bangin" so his record gets released. More q's? Check www.brooksbuford.com.

Say "Loretta Switt" ten times backwards, and tell me she doesn't look fabulous.

This may be the weirdest thing I've ever seen. The site is called http://www.wantsforsale.com/, and it's run by a couple who LITERALLY paint what they want (iphone, beer, etc) – and then charge you for the painting what it would cost to buy them what they want. For example: iPhone painting - $649.17, beer painting - $7. These two – geniuses or finaglers??

Stella McCartney Fuchsia Satin Platform Pump, will you marry me?

Here comes my hippy side again – love this Fairy Aromatherapy Necklace – though I'd order it without the leather cord and put it on a long dangly vintage chain.

A blog dedicated to making fun of people's outfits. I kind of love it.

NY: I hear all the cool NY kids hang here on summer nights: http://www.watertaxibeach.com.

I love Bernie's Jamaican upraising take on Bikini Waxing.

Get wise to the truth about "Hairspray."

I couldn't get my Grandmother to stop singing "My Yiddishe Mama" – and now we have Charles Aznavour singing it in French! Mon dieu! http://youtube.com/watch?v=0bLWDbgZdfA

The average North American's food typically travels at least 1,500 miles to the plate. Concerned by this statistic, Alisa Smith and James MacKinnon undertook a yearlong experiment of consuming food and drink that came only from within 100 miles of their apartment in Vancouver. At 100milediet.org, they share inspiration, information, and resources on why to eat local and how to start your own 100-mile diet.
