Hedy Lamarr -Women's History Month

Ladies Lotto would like to introduce all of you to the lady with the ultimate beauty and brains…

Hedy Lamarr (November 9, 1913 – January 19, 2000) was an Austrian-American actress. She’s known for her beauty and film success, but there is much more to this pretty face than just acting!

Although it is not acknowledged enough, she co-developed a "Secret Communications System" to help combat the Nazis in World War II. The invention formed an unbreakable code to prevent classified messages from being intercepted by the enemy.

Hedy Lamarr’s invention is the key to today’s modern wireless communication!

Hedy deserves great recognition for challenging women stereotypes and proving that she’s more than just pretty looks.
